About Me

Welcome to my portfolio page!

My name is Dr. Matt Dempsey, and I'm a musculoskeletal biologist, vertebrate palaeontologist, and scientific illustrator/3D modeller.

I have recently completed a PhD in musculoskeletal biology with the University of Liverpool and Natural History Museum, London. My research focuses on body size, body shape, and locomotion in dinosaurs and other animals. I also have a masters degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Manchester.

I specialise in creating high-quality, scientifically accurate visualisations of the anatomy of dinosaurs and other animals. If you're looking to commission a skeletal or muscle diagram or model of a particular animal, then you've come to the right place. I also create fully fleshed out life models of dinosaurs.

I mostly work in 3D - almost everything you'll see in my portfolio has been touched by Blender in one way or another.

I am also available to provide expert scientific consultance for projects involving dinosaurs and other extinct life, such as TV, film, games, and books.

If you'd like to commission me or enlist my services, please reach out at medempsey97@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
